Collecting Freda from Redgrave on a mild but rainy day and visiting Mum in Stanton on the third anniversary of Dad's death The girls played them at several card and other games such as Patience, Scrabble and Guess Who? so that the time went very quickly.
It was the third anniversary of Dad's death today and we had called Mum and got her to call Freda with the offer of getting them over to visit Dad's grave. However, they felt unable or unwilling to travel and so we decided to go over and visit Mum with the family and then get Freda from Redgrave as well. I was up very early and out to the shed hoping to shoot another pigeon, but it soon started raining again and there was very few flying about. Then the anglers filed along the bank and started fishing opposite and so I could not do any more shooting.

I updated these last couple of days' journal after breakfast and coffee and this left me an hour to do some financial work once Debbie had finished using my computer replying to her pen-pals. Diana made a lovely Sunday lunch of roast chicken with all the trimmings and then we set off to see Mum in Stanton. We found her reasonably fit and well and then I drove across to get Freda so that she could join us. The girls played them at several card and other games such as Patience, Scrabble and Guess Who? so that the time went very quickly. It was a very good visit on the anniversary of dad's death. The journey home, arriving in late evening and then not much time to do anything before bedtime. The weather was mild today and very reasonable for the time of year.
