Sailing and boating in Barton Broad and then cruise back down the Ant dropping the mud-weight in Barton Broad to let Debbie do some sailing on a very hot day before on to Horning.
Liverpool beat Arsenal in a penalty shoot-out at the end of an FA Charity Shield curtain-raiser for the football season
Sam was a revelation overnight, just sleeping and not even whining when it was time to get up in the morning. A long run for him again and back via the shops before the family were ready for breakfast. I left Sam "tethered" to one of the mooring posts and he drew appreciation from two boat cleaning ladies and another from the yacht moored in front. At least somebody likes him! We cruised back down the Ant with our canopy up and side/back screens rolled up for both shade and ventilation.

It was even hotter today than yesterday and the sun seemed to be burning all that ventured out into it. I dropped the mud-weight in Barton Broad and let Debbie do some sailing for we had been trailing the sailing dinghy and Jolly all the way. I joined Della in The Jolly which we used to keep an eye on Debbie and then to take a run to Barton Turf staithe to give Sam a toilet break. Then the slow and steady cruise back to Horning amongst the heavy traffic with The Albion for company for some of the way. Tea at The Horning Leisure Centre and then the evening sorting things out at home.
I was pleased to be able to finish tidying up the garage and then to get the trailer out and the Escort in. I had fixed some hooks on the trailer sides and so, after getting Debbie's help in putting all our rubbish in, I could cover the trailer and tie it securely down. In for a bath and then an evening's television for me as I updated this last couple of days' journal. I watched Liverpool beat Arsenal in a penalty shoot-out at the end of an FA Charity Shield curtain-raiser for the football season and then saw England struggle again against Australia under its new captaincy in the fifth test match. To bed after midnight.
