The day in Norwich shopping on a dull and drizzly day, enjoying coffee in Jarrold’s and a trip to the library. Daniel returns to Horning without bringing files to apply for the CCTA job and the girls were difficult and unhelpful today.
It promised to be a dull and drizzly day and so we quickly agreed on spending it in Norwich. Early out with Sam before the rain became heavy and the walk down the lane opposite and along to the field path which took me back via the village for a newspaper. The multistorey car park in Norwich and straight to Jarrolds for coffee before Diana shopped with Della and Debbie and I went to the library.

No recent Broads Authority minutes to see and so I got a book out by Dorothy Summers on The East Coast Floods. All of the lunch places in the city were busy and so we drove back to Wroxham and ate at The Riverside Cafe before returning to Horning for the rest of the afternoon and evening doing jobs. Daniel arrived without having managed to speak to us on the telephone beforehand and therefore did not bring any plums or his job application files to be able to apply for the CCTA job.
I was annoyed that Diana had not brought along our car phone as I had asked so that I could make sure he called us. Debbie and Della were both very bad this morning and worse this afternoon. Daniel did help me with some things but left me with the normal clearing up to do afterwards. Had to do some weeding this evening as the girls were not doing it but, even so, Debbie went off by bicycle to The Leisure Centre for a swim and some time in the gymnasium.
