After walking an excitable Sam, who was now 48lbs and still growing. I spent the morning updating Wayplan with Steve and then to Ekins in Huntingdon later to hear of their struggles with Harnser planning.
I was very tired and had to come to breakfast in my night things and get showered and shaved afterwards. A rush to get out with Sam and I was not able to accompany the girls to the bus stop before their school coach arrived. Sam was quite good today but is still very puppyish when around people and other dogs. I let him carry a collared dove that I had shot today and he kept seeking out bird remains thereafter and bringing them back to me! He just finds the gardener and other visitors too exciting a prospect to ignore when they call.

Steven was waiting for me when I got back, and we spent the rest of the morning updating our computer versions of Wayplan with the latest charts and tide tables for the present year. We achieved this all right but then realised that there was a big job to do next week, re-inputting all of the additional navigation marks and tidal information that we had got on my previous chart versions. We walked the dog and then Steven cooked us some fried mushrooms on toast for lunch. To Huntingdon this afternoon to meet Andrew Hind of Ekins again, taking Diana along for the ride and to do some shopping at the same time.
I heard a report of Andrew's latest conversations with the Norfolk planners which did not seem very encouraging, but I will give him a chance to solve the problem. We weighed Sam this evening and found him to have increased his weight by a third this last month to 48lbs and this necessitated him taking twelve teaspoons of worming syrup in line with his new size tonight! An evening with my daughters and deskwork, opting for a bath and early night after my recent losses of sleep.
