The arrival of Daniel for the weekend and his invited friends Gary and Jason

Walking Sam and working on tiresome paperwork as Daniel arrives with friends Gary and Jason. The evening with Di at the Bedford cinema watching the far too long film Dracula

Although the weather turned milder during the day, it started drearily and cold and so, after taking Sam for his normal walk, I lit a log fire in my office and settled down to do some paperwork. I always find the weight of paperwork somewhat depressing and lately it has been quite difficult to do as well due to the delays allowed to accumulate whilst I was away in Norfolk building The Harnser. I edited and archived my journal for February and then tackled the outstanding tax and financial affairs.

I was also cheered by the arrival of Daniel at lunchtime who was home for the weekend and entertaining his friends Gary and Jason; Gary actually staying the weekend with us. I took Diana out to the cinema in Bedford this evening to see Dracula which we found quite good but far too long. In their attempt to make it an epic, they had spared too much of the editor's cutting knife and I found myself uncomfortable and looking at my watch all evening. Debbie and Della had some school work for us to help with and they ended up doing it very well.
