This note is to let you know, as a valued and regular bread customer, of our new supply, packaging and labelling arrangements that will come into operation next Monday 11th November 1996 for crusty bread, cakes and related products.
We had become increasingly aware of the fact that our crusty bread and fresh cake packaging and labelling did not meet the requirements of modern trading standards and the lack of any sell-by or best-before dates and bar codes meant that it was difficult for us to keep quantities of fresh products safely in stock.
After an exhaustive effort to find the ideal solution, we have now concluded arrangements with one of our traditional bakers to package and label a range of bread and cakes in a way that we feel will be acceptable to you.
A panel of Redgrave staff have sampled the products in their new wrapping and have unanimously concluded that the quality at least meets or exceeds that we had previously experienced.
In addition to the above advantages, we will also be able to provide a much larger range of bread loaves, sticks, rolls, buns, doughnuts etc. once we have ascertained the needs of our customers.
To begin with, we are arranging for our previous range of crusty breads to be packaged from Monday and, as a special gesture to you as a regular customer, we will be celebrating this with an initial offer of a free loaf for your first purchase of the week.
