More than 40 years, told day by day
Celebrating Della's Birthday and also the 10th Anniversary of my newly-found affluence with a bouncy castle and swimming session for her guests on a hot, sunny and humid day.
Later off to Harlow for the afternoon's GSP Club training session where Sam did very well retrieving, send away, go-back, sit, stay, and jumping.
Pete Sampras beat Goran Ivanisevic in the battle of the big serves in the Wimbledon Men’s single final and Daiman Hill was second to race winning Benneton driver Michael Schumacher in the Grande Prix
This was a notable anniversary. First it was it Della's 10th Birthday and a particularly poignant one in view of her accident a couple of years ago; a different outcome of which would have cast a very different light on today.

More LibDem Eynesbury electioneering still on a hot and oppressive day, and advising our Eynesbury candidate on housing issues as Diana took Della and some friends to Wickstead Park.
Derek and John Scott raffled a huge cuddly toy (which I identified as the Beast from EuroDisney's "La Bell et le Bette" and raised at least the £50 for LibDem election expenses
The hot, sunny and humid weather continued relentlessly as I was still trying to persuade people to get out canvassing in Eynesbury.

Organising Della's birthday present and party with Diana as Debbie had her school ‘own clothes day’.
Then more electioneering in Eynesbury where I had Jack Taylor and the duo of Percy Meyer and Carole Purser out despite it being Friday.

‘Flaming June’ proved to be a gloriously-hot and sunny month of gave political activity with more elections success but also two trips to Norfolk and domestic party challenges.
We commemorated our Fathers’ Days, sold the Rolls Royce and gave my Dad's old Escort Estate to Di’s parents. More property progress at The Hayling View and Cambridge Street, with the first tenants in the latter. I was still running the RHDRA and reviewing the Broads Plan for its impact on our dyke road.
Jim was taking a rest from dog training with Ben but Sam and I were going from strength to strength attending the GSP Club Championship Show at Retford where Sam was "Very Highly Commended". Apart from my visits and election work, we still managed some activities at home dining out, visiting the cinema and fetes.
News of John Major and the Tories suffering the poorest results ever in the EuroElection, losing half their seats and the Football World Cup took place without England who had failed to qualify.

After a good training session with Sam on a hot and humid day, having to combine campaigning with the sale of my Rolls Royce and later on did a deal on the latter.
A challenging session with our Eynesbury candidate later on before and getting tired of the physical, mental and emotional exertion that this unusual campaign is bringing.
At Diana’s session at Bodycare, she found she had lost a total of 15 inches around her waist, hips and chest.
The hot and humid weather continued without change and today was another full campaigning day. Some time with Sam who appreciated the longer walk and we went into Mill Field again and I made him steady to the hordes of rabbits around Windmill Cottage now that it is empty and unoccupied.

A full day visiting Norfolk early after breakfast and a walk for Sam in Thetford. Arrived in Horning to see Doris, Jack and Bob Howlett before edging and clearing the overgrown lawn with our powerful skimmer.
We then spent the afternoon working on The Paxton Princess; Diana hoovering and cleaning it inside as I used our pressure hose to clean off the outside.
Back to review our canvassing returns where Labour were neck-and-neck with us on the Richmond Formula and the Tories are running a poor third.
We had been toying with the idea of driving over with Diana to Norfolk for the day to get the garden done but then the weather began to look unpromising with showers early in the day.
