More than 40 years, told day by day
I seemed to suffer exhaustion today after me recent lack of sleep and heat exhaustion, dog walking and Norwich shopping and so we opted for a Cromer cinema visit to see the film "Policy Academy 7 - Mission to Moscow" which was rather silly but still enjoyable.
More research concerning Optometry for Debbie looked encouraging.
The weather continued cool again and I was quite cold first thing when I woke up with my bedclothes folded back. A bit of a lay in but then Debbie was marauding around trying to get in the bathroom for her 45-min. session so that I had to go to the toilet first.

Managing to walk Sam and then using our strimmer to tidy around our lawns and clear the vegetation back from the road, I dodged the rain, cloud and cool weather at Heronshaw whilst the family enjoyed a trip to Pleasurewood Hills.
I had brought back a couple of pigeons for training and got Sam to do some retrieves with them during a short morning session.
I had left a note asking not to be disturbed this morning, but Diana and the girls had planned a trip to Pleasurewood Hills near Lowestoft and disturbed me when tidying up the sleeping room.

Some activities in Norwich on the hottest day since 1958, including a conversation paving the way for Debbie in Optometry.
Rather than driving to Winterton, a Bure boat trip instead to keep cool and then driving over to for dog training with Jim before and after hospitality with Julie
Today continued sunny and hot such that, by the end of the day, it had been confirmed that the day had been the warmest since 1958 with temperatures in the 90sF!

After a fine night’s sleep, preparing to take the family to Norfolk and briefing the gardener on work to do in our absence. Then, on arrival, taking the girls for a dip in the Horning Leisure Centre pool and also a trip to Wroxham library.
Di mowed the lawns with our good lawn mower and I started up the strimmer and completed half of the task before dusk. It was around 11.00pm by the time I packed up and turned in for the night by which time the house had cooled down quite a lot after the summer's hottest day of the year so far.
I slept better than for several nights passed, having got to bed by 10.30pm for a change. The only interruption was to be awoken by the cool breeze coming from the wide-open French windows which I had to get up and shut at 3.00am.

On a hot and sunny day, Sam finished 4th of 24 Novices at the Hungarian Vizsla Working Test. The journey back via Hail Weston where I picked up a copy of the latest Eynesbury election leaflet from John Roscoe who had been working on it all day.
Daiman Hill won the British Grand Prix today, an emotional achievement in view of the fete of his late racing driver father.
Several Tory M.P.'s have been trapped into accepting bribes to put down parliamentary questions and this has put John Major's party into even greater realms of unpopularity.
A break from spending time and trouble on electioneering as I took Sam out for the day and ran him in the annual working test of the Hungarian Vizsla Society at Newport Pagnell.

The last day of campaigning for me before spending lunchtime with Diana and the girls at The Little Chef, Debbie had a girl’s night out this evening and then stayed away at Zoe Bee's house for the night which was a bit worrying.
The weather continues hot and sunny, and I was out in it for much of the day. Two good little sessions with Sam who again did everything that I asked and two long and arduous canvassing sessions in Eynesbury.
