A good start to the day as Sam had been settled and no trouble and Debbie's friend Tabby was visiting, and they played well together. We all took part in a grand challenge game of "Cluedo" and that took until lunch on a day spent at home for once. It was as cold as ever today, but Sam slept bravely through the night and did not trouble us until morning. I had set my radio/alarm for 7.00am to head off any Sunday morning disturbance from Sam and found that Debbie and Tabby were up before me. Debbie had washed her hair and then they sat and watched Neighbours Wedding videos in the lounge until breakfast. After tending Sam, I then tried my arm at some pigeon shooting by the river but nothing came and the presence of a line of anglers on the bank opposite made the practice difficult.

There was then a grand challenge game of "Cluedo" which we all played and that took until lunch. A relaxing afternoon reading before a nice tea of sandwiches and cake made by Debbie and Tabby, after they had been using the kitchen to bake the cakes for hours. Exercising Sam again this evening and the journey to Titchmarsh to take Tabby back home. The new A14 A1/M1 link road has made this trip a nightmare with stopped-up roads and diversions, and I was worried about us running out of petrol, but we made it back all right. My journal, some more reading and then to bed. A telephone call from Sally Guinee this evening seeking help on the Paxton delivery information as it seems that John Brown has disappeared leaving everything up in the air.
