Slow but cooler start to the Comart week, with sales staff problems and John back late from holiday and then an evening working in my shed
A cool day with welcome relief from cloud cover and a wet rainy start to the day. The employees of Comart start the day slowly without anyone to open the factory doors much before 8.30am. I mourn the fact that staff timekeeping has deteriorated to the point where nothing much gets underway until 8.45am. John Lamb’s return is unaccountably delayed until late morning but I track him down to home having just arrived after multiple ferry delays. Another day of telephone press interviews and coverage in this morning’s Guardian.
