US mount an abortive attempt to seize President Noriega of Panama

I set off in a fully-loaded Range Rover with Daniel and Gary to collect our new boat from Brundall, stopping off at Mum’s in Stanton on the way. Eventually getting the release of the vessel we cruise down to Reedham for the night as the rain poured down. The US mount an abortive attempt to seize President Noriega of Panama

I was awake quite early and got ready for breakfast with the others. Soon we had loaded up the rest of the gear into the Range Rover and I set off with Daniel and Gary Skinner. The car was literally fully-loaded and we could not have taken a single thing more, even if we had wanted to. It took us an hour to get to Mum’s house in Stanton by which time the rain was bucketing down. We found Mum well and we spent just under an hour there, chatting to her and exchanging administration details etc.

Onwards to Norfolk, arriving at Norwich in time for an early lunch at McDonald’s. I then had a devil of a job to sort out the release of our new boat from the Norfolk Yacht Agency. The problem was that they needed cleared funds for me to pay Brooms themselves (the owners of the boat). In the end the cheque cleared, and we loaded up at Brundall between 2 and 3pm and set off then, arriving in Reedham for 4:30pm. The boat handled very well, although we ran down the domestic battery considerably, operating the fridge and heating at the same time. We swap the batteries round to restore the situation and then had tea on board and dinner at the Admiral Nelson pub. It was toasted cheese on toast at the former and scampi in the basket at the latter. Still it poured down with rain as we ate.

To bed at a reasonable time after catching up with my diary. News is of an abortive attempt by the US to seize President Noriega of Panama. They invaded the country and there was much loss of life. Quite an appalling turn of events, which was quite worrying.
