A busy day of phone calls, office work and FOCUS copy as I was renewing the insurance for The Paxton Princess and finding out more about Hugh Hunter, whose news of death we have withheld from Della as she recovered.
I spent the entire day at home again, foregoing different opportunities to attend meetings in favour of getting some "real" work done. It was a late start again but then the morning was given over to updating my action list of priority tasks followed by the necessary action to get many of them underway. I telephoned and faxed marine insurance brokers about my requirements for renewing the policy for The Paxton Princess and then got back some prices accordingly.

Working on another mild day at home getting trailer loads of ballast from Cosy Corner and concreting the slipway winch as we hear of the death of Kimbolton Prep School Headmaster Hugh Hunter
Tired again this morning but determined to get a few things done today. Breakfast with Della and then, after getting ready, I went out to see the gardener. He helped me hitch up the trailer to the Range Rover and then I went to Cosy Corner and got the first of two loads of ballast so that he could get on with the concreting again after a period of delay. It proved difficult to get this sand and gravel mixture across the games lawn and so we had to unload it into the wheelbarrow and carry it across which was quite energy-sapping and time-consuming but we did it in the end.

A mild day of relaxation at home, spending time with the family after recent pressures. Soe time with the girls on the computer and then watching Tottenham, without Gary Lineker, being well beaten by Arsenal. As the last of the leaves were falling Daniel and Angela set off back to Norwich
With all of the family at home, I was intent on relaxing today and spending time with them. Diana was a bit upset with me this morning as I had lost all of the bedclothes in the night and then told her what time it was this morning which she took as a hint that it was time to get up. I think that she was also a little annoyed at being so friendly with me in the night! A slow morning after a nice fried breakfast and then I did my morning chores and also dismantled the fish pool filter valve to see what type of seal we needed renewing.
