Another day spent hard at work in my office, and I can say that I was getting fed up with being tied to my computer day in and day out as I would prefer to get some exercise and fresh air by working outside. I had completed the first priority for draft exclusion on the house and so the colder drafts are kept out on these increasingly-chilly days.

I worked on some FOCUS layout today and then, late this evening, had a fascinating call from Derek who told me that six of the Town Council Conservatives had resigned over the planned Shortsands Old People's Home closure and the way in which the Constituency Conservative party had tried to gag them and get them to toe the party line regardless of their local loyalties. It was good news indeed and this leaves us in an even better position with regard to the control and reform of St Neots Town Council. I quipped that soon Tories in St Neots would be an endangered species and we might have to take steps to preserve the last breeding pair (the last two official Tories left on St Neots Council being a husband and wife team, Debbie and Alan Sharpe!)
