Hot and sticky day with Wiggly at home for company but suffering Redgrave reverses when Freda and Alf had turned down the chance of having a National Lottery terminal!
The night went well after our lover's tiff but it was far too short for me, having had three hours less sleep than Wiggly over the last two days which was part of my grievance.

At least now we were back on good terms again and I was sorry to have been so scathing about her drinking and smoking.
Up early and working together so that Wiggly could get out in time for work but then, just as she was ready to leave, Charles telephoned and said that she did not need to come in today after all.
I just took advantage of her being scented, In flagrante delicto and made up and undressed her bed, trimmed her pubic region (a task overdue) and then made love to her before our day's work.
A walk with Sam at the start of another very warm and sunny day and then back to swelter in the spare room, trying to get more arrangements in train for our Redgrave projects.
Most things went well but then first the Post Office Counters representative, Mr Herring, said that the post office hours could only be expanded from 16 to 20 hours and then, after we had contacted Camelot, there was worse.
It seems that Freda and Alf had ensured by turning the original offer down that no longer was the option open to have a National Lottery terminal. Now they had selected another trader for this attraction.
So, not only would a recovery plan be unable to count on customers brought in by this (thought to be from 15 to 20% increase) but we would now have to suffer the competitive threat of somebody else using it to take away business from us.
I was very frustrated by the prior stupidity of Freda, Alf and Chris; particularly as I had immediately disagreed with this decision at the time and every trade contact I had spoken to in the last couple of days felt the same way as me.
It was irrecoverable despite three further calls and now the business plan cannot support the recovery and payments Freda needed from me. Better luck with other wholesale contacts and both Booker (trading as Mace) and Spar agreed to come and see us in Redgrave tomorrow.
The heat was exhausting again today and the air flow in Wiggly's small place non-existent. Me out with Sam as Wiggly made the tea again and then her to another all-evening meeting of the HDC Planning Committee, briefed with my ideas on local planning issues and determined to put them into practice.
I drove over to The Hayling View where I collected the mail and had to intervene in the care of my fish pool and the watering of plants as the gardener seemed to be remiss. Also Daniel had abandoned the place for his girlfriend's flat and left poor Gary to fend for himself!
Back to my journal and to write to Diana and the girls before awaiting Wiggly's late arrival once more. When she did arrive, she was very upset with her LibDem group leader, Terry Clough.
Whereas, earlier she was pleased with her contribution to the planning debate on the change of use of Cedar House car park and community tip; now she was angry at having stayed very late to speak to Derek Giles Eaton's item, only to find that Terry had opposed this view in the meeting.
He had also supported Tory Planning Chairman Pre Newbon's criticism of Wiggly reading her play script between items of interest which was even more humiliating and annoying. It took until 1.00am to cheer her up and we thus got to bed late again in the evening heat.
