An unproductive but restful day at home, looking after Della and her visiting friend Naomi after being late up. Then feeding the peacock and doves in the freezing fog.
Daniel arrived dishevelled after bursting three tyres running over a roundabout in the fog driving home from Norwich! Gary came round but Angela was back in Cheshire and could only telephone later on.
Today was a really wasted day as far as progress was concerned. I was up very late after last night and then was even later hanging around. It was mid-morning before I got out to feed the starving doves and peacock and then, as I sat in the conservatory dreamingly relaxing and feeding the Koi, Hilary Knightley came round and I typed-up and printed out the Bottle Bank notices for her. I partly justified my lack of activity by being there to supervise Della who had her friend Naomi round to play, and she stayed for lunch.

Just TV this afternoon and not even sport, as just about everything was suspended in this frosty weather. Tea of hot buttered baguettes and then Daniel arrived somewhat dishevelled after a problematical drive from Norwich. He had set off for home at 1.00pm but drove over a roundabout in the fog and burst three tyres! Some hours shuttling back and fro with his friends and he managed to limp home undeterred. Good old Daniel! He always has to actually experience a hazard before he can cope with it and will not take care and learn from the experience of others. We were very pleased to see him anyway and glad he was safe. His friend Gary came round but Angela was back in Cheshire and could only telephone later on. Little done this evening as well but at least I watched a TV film with the girls and then wrote up this last couple of days journal. the weather might break soon but not for this weekend which will remain foggy and freezing.
