Grumpy after an early start on another icy cold and foggy day, but still enjoyed a large fried breakfast. Then it was time to erect the Christmas tree for the girls to decorate in the afternoon before I caught up on correspondence and chased sister Freda on her shop accounts and building work.
Tonight, I collected Sally and attended a District Group meeting at Derek Giles's house which went well enough. To bed after watching the film "Jamaica Inn" with Diana and Debbie on television as Della was in bed and Daniel out in Di's car with his friends.
I was a bit grumpy this morning at being woken up far too early and then spent the day feeling tired again. The trouble is that Diana's internal alarm clock wakes her at 6.00am regardless. The normal large fried breakfast this Sunday morning and then to go out and tend the doves etc. I also cut six inches off of the trunk of our Christmas Tree, unwrapped it and set it into the stand in our lounge for the girls to decorate this afternoon. The weather was icy cold and foggy again and I was pleased to be inside for the most part.

This afternoon, I was struggling to catch up with some correspondence and voluntary work and made quite heavy weather of it. I also wrote quite sternly to my sister about the affairs at Redgrave where she is wanting more money and yet delaying the necessary work for looking after Mum. Freda and money were never the best combination and I fear that she will never make a good businesswoman so as to make me regret helping her buy Redgrave. Tonight, I collected Sally and attended a District Group meeting at Derek Giles's house which went well enough without any preparation. Derek gave me two bottles of wine made from our grapes which I will try over the Christmas period. To bed after watching the Alfred Hitchcock thriller film "Jamaica Inn" with Diana and Debbie on television as Della was in bed and Daniel out in Di's car with his friends.
