The family decorated the Christmas Tree
The family decorated the Christmas Tree

A waste of time as Nigel had failed to arrange the paint balling. The weather changed for the worst again as the rain clouds got thicker and the rain heavier as the morning wore on.

It ended up a very wet day. Jim Bird called and we are now confirmed for our training trip to Brancaster, North Norfolk, where we will share a room and get the dogs to sleep together in my car.

Sam survived the night and had not messed his run this time. He accepted some biscuits on his morning run and then ate his food later in the evening so that I must conclude that he is on the mend. He spent much of the day in my car as I took off for Hail Weston and with Nigel and his son Ashley for an abortive morning "Paint-Balling". Nigel had been very late back from his formal shoot and socialising last night and had not called me as he had promised with details of our arrangements.

This was a correct omen as there was no paint-balling organised for today and, whilst we did find out about use of the Molesworth shooting ranges, it was a waste of time. At least I helped him get his car back from near Peterborough and got myself back for lunch with the family. The weather changed for the worst again as the rain clouds got thicker and the rain heavier as the morning wore on. It ended up a very wet day and I had to walk Sam in my weather-proof rubbers this evening and give him a thorough towel off afterwards.

Called Jim Bird this evening and found he had tried to call me last night. He went to a dog show at the Birmingham NEC today and was wondering if I would have liked to come. We are now confirmed for our training trip to Brancaster, North Norfolk, where we will share a room and get the dogs to sleep together in my car. The rest of the evening updating my journal and printing out and archiving that for November and then a relatively early night. This as the family decorated the Christmas Tree. The final stages of the new GATT round are going badly with the United States and Europe at loggerheads but there is so much riding on the outcome that one feels a solution just has to come.
