All held together and I managed to feed and exercise Sam three times as usual and then spend the rest of the time putting the furniture on the kitchen door and then cutting, hanging and furnishing the toilet door as well. One eye on the TV and an ear on the radio today as it became increasingly obvious that the U.S. in league with Britain and France was about to make a retaliatory strike against Iraq for the alleged border incursions. This came later this evening, and it transpired that outgoing U.S. President George Bush chose the lesser of a number of options and just bombed Iraqi missile positions. In this way he retained the support of all world opinion outside of Iraq. Even so there were ritual protestations of defiance from Saddam Hussein afterwards and so the game of cat and mouse continues as Iraq will now try out the will of the incoming U.S. President Bill Clinton.
