Managing to walk Sam who was still suffering and have lunch in Wroxham on a rainy day before setting off for Cromer to see the blockbuster, ‘Jurassic Park’. Still managed a walk along Cromer Pier.

The popularity of the Conservative Party plumbs an all-time low as they seem set to lose a safe seat in the Christchurch By-Election. Israel bombard Southern Lebanon in another outrage.

It was quite a rainy day but we were at home for much of it and I rested my poor legs upstairs catching up on some reading for a period of relaxation. The day started with a pause in the rain which was long enough for me to give Sam a good run. I took him along the marsh roads and then back into the village for the milk and newspaper. Breakfast and then we all went into Wroxham for morning drinks, and then lunch later, both at the Riverside Cafe.

In between, some more shopping, a trip to the Broads Information Centre and getting Diana a key for Harnser. The usual groceries and then back for that afternoon rest as the rain poured down outside. An early walk and feed for Sam and then we set off for Cromer. Arrived in good time to collect the tickets and then sat and waited in a packed Regal Cinema, room 2. for the film "Jurassic Park". This film had broken all box office records as I heard from the manager of the Norwich cinema last night. Just this films takings alone (excluding those of the others on at the same time) had out-performed any past week's presentations.

We found the film exciting and well-presented with good animation but it was very violent as well and the story line lacked the sensitivity of other Stephen Speilberg-directed films such as "E.T." It was left with some open-ends at the finish and we could well see sequels continuing the idea. A walk along Cromer Pier and around the amusements before we drove home with the girls exhausted from the day.
