Sympathising with Sam about Francis, organising Heronshaw cabinets in the garage and laying up The Paxton Princess.
Then heading back to stay with Wiggly overnight after the LibDem executive meeting.
I was slow to wake this morning after some trouble in settling down to sleep in this strange short single bed.

In the end, the workmen had returned and were banging away by the time that I had finished breakfast and was ready to go out with Sam. I reviewed my priorities and decided to stay on to first tidy the garage.
I heard from Sam Weller that the breast lump that Francis had been suffering from had turned into a real worry and what with that and his own stress symptoms, he would not be collecting the cabinets and fridge from Heronshaw.
I therefore decided not to throw them out but to use them to house all of the small items in the garage and so organise the space much more efficiently.
This done, I turned my attention to the laying-up of Paxton Princess. I do not lay it up in the strict sense of the word (draining all water etc.) but just reinstalled the de-humidifier and two background space heaters.
In order to be able to leave the power on, I also had to change the wiring so that I could isolate the toilet pump and avoid another incident of it being left on as before.
I had called Diana to tell her that I was going to stay over for the night, but I headed back for my LibDem meeting and a night with Wiggly instead. I ran Sam both before I left and then at 5-ways on the way and eventually arrived at Montagu Street at 6.00pm.
This was rather early for Wiggly, who was tired and only just back from work, but I filled in by fitting her new roller blind over the kitchen window. She cooked a nice meal of pasta in sauce with grilled pieces of chicken to go with it and I enjoyed both the meal and the attention.
A rush after to get shaved, washed and changed for the meeting but still got there second only to Sheila Shorten. Sometime before the others arrived but we then had a good meeting as Wiggly had scheduled the agenda with election items first.
It seems that we will have a good slate of candidates for next May's Town Council & District Elections and Sheila has agreed to stand again after some misgivings.
I treated all present to a drink in the Priory Centre bar providing we finished at 9.30pm and this worked a treat with only Wiggly having to go to her rehearsal and Terry Clough having to get off without having one.
I walked back to Montagu Street where Wiggly had just got home ten minutes before me and we relaxed and chatted a while before having a glass of port and getting into bed.
No trouble tonight as we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience and then settled down quite well to go to sleep. I had left Sam in the car at Coneygear all evening but now brought the car back so that he could sleep outside under the window on another mild night.
Just cuddles in the morning and then I packed and took Sam for a walk from Coneygear right up to Eaton Socon Lock and beyond before taking him home.
