Home to The Hayling View to catch up on Christmas plans with the family and storing the girl’s new mountain bikes in the garage.
This after another night with Wiggly and with her telephoning indiscreetly. The evening playing with Debbie and updating my journal
A good walk with Sam before I left for home. He both found and pointed a number of pheasants but bumped many more with his enthusiasm but then I am not spending enough time training him at the moment.

Diana was out shopping when I got to The Hayling View but the girls were in but had only just got up. I unloaded the car and spent time with each of them and then Diana arrived, and I reviewed the mail whilst drinking coffee with her.
Lots of accounts to do and cheques to prepare for paying in to the building society. Consternation on my part as Wiggly telephoned with some ideas for laying out the new Heronshaw whilst Diana was in my office, and I tried to cover up but do not think that I succeeded very well.
It was soon lunchtime, and I allowed the family to open up their Christmas Cards from one-another afterwards. In them, were the vouchers I had bought for the children and Daniel drove into Bedford in the afternoon to get a pair of speakers with his £50-worth.
The girls wanted to spend their vouchers as well and so then I took Diana into St Neots, dropping off the girls at the library to begin with, and we collected their new mountain bikes so that I could take them home and store them in the garage whilst they were not around to see.
Diana then stayed on with them to oversee their activities whilst I came home with the bikes. Daniel was back by then and helped me into the garage and seemed quite taken with them. I think that he regrets growing up and wanted a new bike too! Once back, I could also telephone Wiggly after her call was curtailed.
She will not be telephoning me at home again. Though she had tried very hard, she could not come up with a satisfactory improvement to the layout design.
I drove back into St Neots after a while to collect Diana and the girls and let Di drive back as I came back with Sam, walking him all around St Neots Common in the process before feeding him and putting him down for the night.
Time sitting with the others and reading before tea and then much of the evening updating this last few days’ journal.
I played with the girls in the lounge for a while as well and find Debbie much friendlier than of late and willing to wrestle and play some card tricks on me.
