To Granchester for a pub lunch and walk with Sam along the banks of the River Cam

After walking Sam and the girls to the bus stop, collecting Wiggly and staying a while at her p[lace before driving from Paxton to Norfolk, stopping at Grantchester and Cambridge for a pub lunch and some chores.

An appalling Frankenstein film at the Odeon and then an unsettled night at Harnser as the builders had been demolishing the Dunham’s place prior to rebuilding Timmerslot.

Up at a reasonable time and out with Sam, accompanying the girls on their walk to the bus stop. Back to pack whilst Diana got ready for her regular Friday shopping trip.

A short visit to St Neots to drop some insurance forms in and get cash from the building society and then off to Norfolk, collecting Wiggly on the way. She gave me a birthday card and some presents: Two compact disks and a pair of pure red silk boxer shorts with black printed hearts upon them!

I stayed and made a cup of tea whilst she finished off her packing and made some telephone calls. I found her particularly attractive and so, as we had a little time to spare, I carried her upstairs and both enjoyed ourselves and then we drove off to Cambridge together.

One of her main chores was taking her watch in for a replacement battery and, as this was going to take a couple of hours, we did that first and drove off to Granchester for a pub lunch and walk for Sam along the banks of the River Cam on this mild afternoon.

Back to Addenbrookes for her clinic appointment where the news was not good. She had a few more small warts forming and so needed mild treatment which they gave her on the spot. Then off to Norwich, stopping by at the Odeon, Anglia Square, to buy two tickets for this evening's performance of the latest Frankenstien film.

We still made Harnser just before dark and I walked Sam whilst Wiggly settled us in and made up the bed with our new duvet and covers. I had packed my wood pigeon and pheasant breast and was able to grill these and serve them with a salad for Wiggly and I to try. She was very brave about it and we actually enjoyed the fare together.

The film was an appallingly bloodthirsty affair which we did not really enjoy but we were glad to be in oneanother's arms together. Unfortunately, Wiggly had another cold coming on and was not able to settle too well into our bed and I was not able to satisfy her so as to get her to settle either and so we did not start the night very well.

Harnser was all right and there was much evidence of the activity of builders at the Dunham's as the old bungalow had been demolished since I was last there. They had obviously been making some considerable use of the road as that was also the worse for wear. Did not manage to achieve anything for my own property.
