Jordon's family Mill now rebuilt much better after their devastating fire

A trip to Jordan’s Mill shop in Biggleswade to try sample foods without preservatives or colourings for the children to try and two sacks of food for the ducks before a day working on security measures and alarms with Daniel and Gary involved in boating incidents. This as widespread condemnation of the Libyans raids uniting opposition parties and even dividing senior Tory figures but Mrs Guinness is recovering after her rescue from kidnapping

Another good night’s sleep, but Diana was up and resting elsewhere for some reason. On time to a breakfast of toast and fruit juice and an hour’s work on my alarms until I took Di and Della to Biggleswade. We get a range of sample foods from Jordan’s Mill shop without preservatives or colourings for the children to try. Two sacks of duck food from the mill itself and then into the town centre for some morning coffee and shopping.

Home in time for lunch and then this afternoon and evening progressing the security system. Two internal pressure mats fitted ready for the carpets to be fitted. A personal attack button in our bedroom and the rear hall, smoke detector wired into the system. Then to the outer garage, where the side door and main door contacts were fitted with a bypass key switch and the whole wired up with a terminal block and tested. The inner garage must come next. Daniel took out his boat with Gary today, but spoilt it by falling in and racing the dinghy. The weather was rainy, with some sunny periods. The bricklayer has finished the pool surround and is now laying a low wall around the sunken garden. The pool tiler is halfway round the pool sides. Di goes to bed early tonight and still cannot get used to our new bed, whilst I stay up and watch the midweek sport on TV. More gunfire in Tripoli tonight and confusion about the possibility of further attacks. It may be that high level intelligence planes taking pictures were confused with further attack aircraft. Pictures today of Qaddafi's  wrecked headquarters and hit Bedoni tent, which he uses for diplomatic meetings. There is still no sign of him and he has not been seen in public, fueling speculation that he may be injured or out of the country. Libya’s Rome ‘People’s Bureau’ spokesman today said that there would be counter attacks against US military targets throughout Europe. An opinion poll reported today that more than 2/3rds of Britain’s disapproved of the raid and of Britain’s involvement in it. In the Commons, a debate on the raid saw the opposition parties united against the Thatcher government, with senior ex-Tory ministers dividing on their view. Mrs Jenifer Guinness was recovered from her kidnap in Dublin this morning and united with her family, after two gunmen gave themselves up in a surrounded house and let her free. Unemployment was up 38,000 last month, after statistical ‘fiddles’ were taken into account. The West Indies won the final test against England by a large margin and thus the series 5-0.
