A cooler day after an overnight shower as I lay in and then spend much of today cleaning and polishing the Range Rover before enjoying a nice lunch of roast lamb and then, in the afternoon, working on my Little Paxton Mills history whilst keeping Daniel revising for his intermediate maths exams. The tragic airbus crash today killed four but miraculously save the rest of the 127 passengers. Police detectives make progress in investigating the murder of Mrs Marie Wilks and an eight year old girl in two separate incidents.
Must have been very tired last night, because I slept in until Di came with a mug of tea at 8.00am. As I had been swimming and washed my hair last night, I just had a shave and was right ready for my fried breakfast when it was done. Dragged myself reluctantly outside then to clean the Range Rover and spent most of the morning on it. I was annoyed that there was a plot-holder’s Rover in the way and so I had to vacuum the car outside my drive and then shampoo and hose it as near as I could. I decided to go the whole hog and actually polish it as well and I was quite tired out afterwards. Was a bit worried whilst I was out there; Della was cycling on the pavement on her tricycle and the black Avenger from David McGinness’s house started up and reversed out suddenly and could easily of run her over, if I hadn’t have shouted and run across and stopped her. A nice lunch of roast lamb today, which I carved for Diana and we all enjoyed eating it. This afternoon and evening, I worked on my Little Paxton Mills history and finished printing it out and copying the relevant photographs and pictures on to it.
I had doubled its length from version 2 to 3! In late evening I fed the ducks and doves and put them away and then came in to file away all my papers and clear up my officer after this endeavour. Some trouble keeping Daniel revising today, before his intermediate mathematics exams Monday and Tuesday, as his friends had all finished theirs. I kept most of them at bay by putting the house phone off the hook, but two of them came round anyway. Main news tonight is of an airbus crash, killing four, but miraculously the rest of the 127 in this French air crash survived. The police investigating the murder of Mrs Marie Wilks continue to question a man at Worcester Police Station, whilst the forensic team examine his car. In Belfast, another man has been held after being charged with the murder of an 8-year-old girl, whose body was found on waste ground in Newtownabbey. What a sick society we have. Nick Faldo, the runner up in the US Open, won the French Open today as a compensation. The weather took a cooler turn today after an overnight shower. I had a mole trap triggered twice, but did not catch the blighter. He was in the vicinity of my compost heap. To bed at 11.00pm, very tired.
