There was much disruption today with plasterers, plumbers and electricians all working on the conservatory pool, pump, filter and electrics but I still spelling-checked my prehistoric history chapter and drew a diagram with a computer drawing tool before receiving a visit from Linda to brief her about being a parish councillor. This evening with Percy to a Southoe Parish Meeting and home in good time to write my journal
Slept well and woke early this morning. Just French Toast for breakfast and then I read the morning paper before settling down to do some work. I was constantly interrupted today with the plasterers on site and rendering the pool and the plumber/electricians setting out the pump, filter and the electrics. I still spelling-checked the text on Prehistoric History before lunch. This afternoon, I received a visit from Linda, Diana’s friend, who wanted to hear about being a Parish Councillor now that she has been co-opted.

Later, I compiled a diagram for my book with the aid of ‘Free-Hand’, the computerised drawing tool which will look good in print. After tea, I went to Southoe Parish Meeting with Percy Meyer and introduced him as ‘the FOCUS Editor’ to the councillors and others in attendance. It was a fair meeting and, with only six parish councillors, always strikes me as a friendly and intimate occasion with the small problems that arise seemingly small beer but being important for the community. Home quite early and plenty of time for my Journal, but I stayed up a while and watched a TV programme with Diana all about a small girl who was confined to a life of darkness due to her being an Albino.
