Organising the History of Little Paxton book cover on day that started drizzly then continued mild and sunny which was nice to take Debbie to the stables and then canvas in Michael Pope’ ward with some success. This evening to call in on the Offords canvasser and then to the Village Hall AGM where I was elected as Vice-Chairman and Trustee
I slept well but was still tired this morning after yesterday’s exertions. After breakfast, I progress the matter of the urgent approval needed for the colour wraparound cover for my History of Little Paxton. I had to collect the data post packet from the sorting office and then turn it round and return it by the same means also took Debbie to the stables for a day’s horse care and riding with Helen Cranston. Then I did some canvassing with Percy Meyer in the great Paxton High Street where I managed to get a few votes and some prominent posters up.

This afternoon was a round of Little Paxton, putting up fallen flag boards and adjusting others. I got into a half hour long conversation with a local lady who sounded off about her concerns which was a pity. I left her with the message that it was not enough to moan at me, but that she had to turn up at the Parish meetings and convince the parish councillors as well. I then set off to Offord for another hour of canvassing and erection of two more flag boards. This evening, I canvas for Fydell Court for Michael for nearly an hour and won them some support and a couple more flag board sites. Then I went to the Annual General Meeting of the Village Hall Committee, where I was re-elected to the committee as Vice Chairman and was also adopted as a Trustee for The Village Hall trust to replace Mr Eric long who is now retiring. After, I called on the Offord canvasers and reviewed their results. We are just lagging the Tories but are catching them up as the multiple leaflets wing home. Today started drizzly then continued mild and sunny which was nice. A host of new stories with not much dominating the others the local papers full of my own activities.
