Our visit to Universal Studios after the morning relocating hotels where we were relieved that the Studio tour was more efficient than others and that the facilities were much-improved on previous standards.

It was a hot day with temperatures in the mid 80'sF and we needed to rest and shade ourselves from the sun during the heat of it but, by staying to mid-evening, we saw just about all of the attractions apart from the studio displays.

Awoken early again by Diana but we spent time getting ready and then drove out to a "Sambo" restaurant for breakfast (In fact the name had changed in the last few years since we were last there). There seemed to be a large number of people in Anaheim at the time and our favourite eating place had run out of many of the types and lines of food and drink and we then had long and slow service. We drove by the Parkside Hotel and found that they could accommodate us that night and so had to go back to the "Inn-at-the-Park" and check out and collect our things and bring them to the other hotel. By the time we had done all this it was about mid-day before we drove off to Universal Studios and around 1.00pm before we had negotiated the heavy traffic to get there and were "lunched" and "ticketed".

We were relieved that the Studio tour was more efficient than others and that the facilities were much-improved on previous standards. By staying to mid-evening, we saw just about all of the attractions apart from the studio displays. It was a hot day with temperatures in the mid 80'sF and we needed to rest and shade ourselves from the sun during the heat of it. The ascending escalators and the all-tram tour were the best improvements and saved a lot of waiting around. Angela was to enjoy Universal Studios more than anything else on this holiday. Back at the Parkside Hotel, we found we had been checked in to our rooms and we ate dinner in the hotel Coffee Shop before unpacking and turning in. We were disappointed to find that the service was so slow and this had us worried as to what standards to expect from this hotel after the arrival difficulty.
