A full day spent organising the election again, supervising the distribution of our third leaflet and designing our polling day slips with Percy and Sally, a new helper Linda and five canvassers out working this evening, This, as Peter Larkin starting work on our new moorings.
Another full day spent on election matters as we entered the last week of the campaign. A bit late down for breakfast but still supervised the girls who were already arguing at the table. Di was off into town this morning and it was good to see her still going to her slimming club. She had an upsetting experience before she went as the baby white fantail dove that she had saved in a cardboard box outside had been attacked and killed by a cat. Percy had gone off to Cambridge to collect supplies of the third leaflet today and delivered them to Priory and Eaton Socon for distribution. I met up with him, Percy and Sally later as we decided on what basis this third leaflet would be delivered and also the format of our "Please Vote Today" or "Good Morning" leaflet.

This afternoon, Michael and Percy helped me finish off the copy for these leaflets and I was well-pleased with the results. Tea and then a rush over to Stratford Place where I organised the committee room for this evening. We had five canvassers out and were re-canvassing the households previously ‘out’ during the campaign. I also had a new helper, Linda, over from Priory to help key in canvassing data and was also ensuring everybody was well-briefed and thinking ahead for Polling day. Home quite late but still updated this last couple of days journal which process helps me to unwind and also to avoid falling too far behind. Earlier today, I was pleased that Peter Larkin, the marine engineer, had arrived and was starting work on my riverside man-hole cover and landing stage.
