After a lay in and time spent watering outside and conservatory plants as well as the hanging baskets, I spent the day on Political Election work as Sandie came over with Ross McKay and Derek Giles joined us later as we were setting out a collage of his press cuttings for the leaflet. Time also fielding queries from John Roscoe who had been struggling with the EARS election computer system
After an early-morning bedtime, I was just about ready for a lay in and so was Diana as Della had also woken her up several times in the night. I stayed in bed with Diana for a while (as absence always makes the heart grow fonder) and then embarked on my chores. The conservatory plants were very dry indeed and needed bags of water and I decided to open just about all of the windows in the house - even those that are normally locked for security. Also had to water the hanging baskets and garden plants and feed the fish before I could have my customary Sunday breakfast.

I called Derek and Sandie Giles and then was thrust into the election campaign planning as Sandie came over with Ross McKay and we discussed the election plans. Worked until lunch and then on afterwards on my own, setting out a collage of Ross McKay press cuttings for the leaflet. Back working with Ross later and then Derek joined us and we completed the letters to known supporters which will be delivered in the next few days. In the meantime, I fielded queries from John Roscoe who had been struggling with the EARS election computer system and losing precious data but at least I had made copies here. Worked until my normal retiring time and then updated my journal before turning in quite early for me at 10.30pm.
