An early start and journey to Cambridge again for my apparently successful live Radio Cambridgeshire interview concerning my anti-smoking campaign which was largely supported by the HDC Personnel Committee. Home to an earlier night than of late, sitting in the play-room with Diana and keeping her company as she watched her programme.
A very different start to the day as I was up early with Diana so as to get ready and have breakfast before leaving for Cambridge at 7.00am for my 8.15am Radio Cambridgeshire interview. I got there and found the studio in Hills Road with a quarter hour to spare and was actually able to read through the brief to get some idea of how the interview was to be introduced and conducted. It was a slightly daunting prospect as most of my interviews are taped rather than live and also because the journalist was concentrating on an aspect of my anti-smoking proposals with which I am back-pedalling (enforcement), but it was quite fluent and appeared to go well.

I was away by 8.30am and home by 8.45am with Daniel and Diana at the breakfast table, both having slept through the whole thing! A belated attempt at the morning chores and for the rest of the morning, yet more phone calls. After lunch, I tried to update my desk-work and journal for these last couple of days. I tried to do some more work on the garage and Reliant but the weather was too showery. After tea, I went along to Pathfinder House - this time to the Personnel Committee - where I had to propose my anti-smoking motion again. As Sally was missing the meeting due to a Town Council meeting, I apologised for her absence and stayed there until the end to keep an eye on things. They accepted the main aspects of my motion and so I was well pleased. Home to an earlier night than of late, sitting in the play-room with Diana and keeping her company as she watched her programme.
