After completing a hectic period, this was a day to recover and catch up with my financial records and then complete the 70 invitations for Debbie’s forthcoming birthday event at St Neots Recreation Centre on June 1st. The Tories behind in the opinion polls and putting back their estimates of the election date.
Diana woke me up rather early this morning when I could have done with a lay in. Even so, I enjoyed the nice fried breakfast and then went out to tend the conservatory, plants and doves. I checked the swimming pool and gave the water a bit more chemical now that the temperature is kept over 80degF. Then for the entire day, I worked in my office at the computer typing in the information for my year-end income and investment summaries so that the result could be printed and circulated to my accountant and trust solicitor. This was quite a business, and it was late evening before the task was finished.

I had a couple of short rests during the day and all the time Diana and Debbie were nagging me over the completion of Debbie's party invitations for June 1st. It will be a fun event involving roller-skating, swimming and eating at the St Neots Recreation Centre and we have created 70 nice invitations with a reply slip and map on the back which should be fine. This took me up until late. The weather was a bit warmer today and the lawns were really growing out of control as the gardener was prevented from cutting them on Thursday and Friday of last week. The news is still of the two main political parties bickering over the recent by-election campaign and of the Tories behind in the opinion polls and putting back their estimates of the election date.
