Home from Horning to Paxton after Broadland Motors repaired the petrol pump in the Range Rover as the weather turned very mild and warm. This after the girls had used Wroxham Library and we had morning coffee at Roy’s. Home via the Little Chef for tea and to find Paxton satisfyingly alive with LibDem election posters.
Had a nice sleep until 8.00am this morning and then used the facilities of Heronshaw to get shaved and bathed before breakfast. Then we went into Wroxham to see how Broadland Motors were getting on with the Range Rover. They had collected it from the Bridge Restaurant car park and were already working on it, with much of the car in pieces. They traced the problem to the petrol pump which had failed and this was quite a problem as it was embedded in the petrol tank which also had to come off. We left them to it and took the girls to Wroxham Library whilst we went into Roys for morning coffee and to do some shopping.

We managed to take all of our library books back to the one library even though they were from Great Yarmouth and Norwich because of this splendid "Norlink" computer information system. Della then led us a merry dance screaming that she was desperate for the toilet, and we had to attend to her before returning to the boat. The car was ready by the time we had loaded up and driven there ready to leave in late afternoon. Also had time to tackle the Heronshaw lounge, dusting and vacuuming it clean in view of how dirty it had become. The structure of the old building is suffering still, and the front door hardly opens but that is no reason to leave it dirty as well. Took the journey home in the two cars in convoy, stopping off at a Little Chef for tea.
We found Little Paxton in good form on our return; plenty of John Brown LibDem posters out and no sign of the opposition campaign making its mark yet. No shocks in my accumulated mail and, of course, I had left my answering machine off. I just made calls to Percy, Derek and John Brown reviewing the campaign and giving them advice and arranging to meet John here tomorrow to guide him further. A little late to bed but glad to be home after my days away. The NNDC Building Control section had sent me a whole list of queries on my boat-house application which I have to resolve and will try to do so by way of a visit to discuss the details. The weather turned very mild and warm today which was a pity as we were coming home!
