After a very late awakening, with the girls having been taken to school, I made my own breakfast and then read the newspapers and planned the Paxton Princess electrics reorganisation and then calculated the battery drain and re-charging characteristics.
The boat should now recover from the battery drain of mooring for 24 hours by cruising for 6 hours. Not much sign of the gardener again, even though the weather seems quite mild now.
I was up late last night and then it was even later still before I managed to get to sleep. I then did not wake up until after 9.30am this morning, which is just about the latest time I have lay in since recovering from "jet-lag" and might even be later than that! By this time, both girls had been taken to school and I was left to eat my breakfast alone before slowly getting showered and dressed afterwards. In what was left of the morning, I read the newspapers and then, after lunch, resumed work on my boat electrics.

The first task was to complete the wiring plan by deciding what devices would be connected to what. I used the dual batteries to separate the pumps and other noisy appliances from the delicate instruments and then calculated the battery drain and re-charging characteristics. In general, the two sides are balanced and the boat can recover from the battery drain of mooring for 24 hours by cruising for 6 hours. This evening, I then started drawing out schematics on the computer which I hope to finish off tomorrow. Not much sign of the gardener again, even though the weather seems quite mild now.
