A cold dull drizzly day working on chores at home, then watching some televised football and finally planning how to accommodate The Paxton Princess within a new Heronshaw. Also working with Debbie on her homework and consoling her over having to have her dentist fit teeth braces in a few weeks' time which is a shame
I did not plan to go anywhere today and was rather inactive on a day when the intake of food was at its maximum! The chores to start the day and the rest of the morning sorting out my file on Heronshaw after the planning meeting. This afternoon, I watched televised football which started off as a dreary display of tactics hustling one another but ended up a very open and entertaining match as Nottingham Forest drew one all with Everton at Goodison Park. Tea in the lounge and the Antiques Road Show to follow it and then back to my Heronshaw file.

After a late night and a tired start to the day, I saw Debbie off to school and then went over to see Sally at the St Neots newspaper recycling event, catching up with her with council news. Then on to Hail Weston to find John Roscoe out but dropped Nigel’s tie off before driving home and watching International Rugby Union. An evening tidying my office and making space for nautical items.
I was very late to bed last night and so slow to get going this morning. After breakfast and seeing Debbie off to school, I went out to do the chores and then took the old newspapers across to the re-cycling collection. Sally was up on the skip and so I climbed up to help her for a while to discuss the news of our election plans. Both John Davidson and Phillip Graham-Claire had decided against standing for additional council seats which was a pity. At least the selection panel had adopted our choices of Ross McKay and John Roscoe for the other District Wards. I left after helping to load the backlog of old newspapers and then got some petrol and the car washed before making my way over to Hail Weston.

Collecting Nigel from Hail Weston House and driving him to Norfolk and the Broads Authority Planning Committee meeting in Norwich where they eventually agreed to approve the Heronshaw Planning Permission subject to a Section 106 Agreement.
After lunch, off to Horning to see the site and collect some things and then home to Paxton. Later in the evening I invited Steven Bloom to come over to talk about Heronshaw and try out my Yeoman electronic chart plotter, which he liked. The fog had cleared for it to become quite bright at times this afternoon
Up early and, after a quick breakfast, dressed and ready to get going. I called by John and Chris's house in Hail Weston to drop off some things and then called a bit early for Nigel at Hail Weston House. It was a frosty and foggy morning and he was slow to return from taking Kate to school in Bedford but I took the time chatting to Lynn and taking Ashley to the bus stop. He was well loaded taking a set of drums with him as visual aids for a talk he was to give as part of his GCSE assessment!

Very late up today after two equally-late nights, long phone calls to continue work on St Neots Council politics and then, after preparing Focus advertising letters, some time delivering my own complete advertising packs for each of the local businesses in Little Paxton, Southoe and Diddington.
Very late up today after two equally-late nights. I only just saw the girls leaving for school as I came down to breakfast and then had to meet the gardener at the door in my pyjamas! Some time before I was ready to do anything constructive and then had long telephone calls with Sally and Percy putting them in the picture about my advice to the Town Council Group.
