Diana and Daniel visited on a trying day that started well with some shopping in Norwich, but Sam was then misbehaving jumping up and nipping people and I ended up with a urinary infection. An evening catching up with administration.
Although it was a day to appreciate and look forward to, I found it something of a trial as several matters were quite taxing and I ended up with a urinary infection. The day started well enough as my "Teasmade" gave me a dynamic start and breakfast in bed. Sam was very good in his morning run as I practised plenty of "long drops" and "stays" which he obeyed well. Then I prepared for my trip into Norwich and took all the things that I would need. I was parked in the car park near the library by 9.45am, noting that I had three hours before the "penal" parking rates came into effect and this gave me time to go to The Outdoor Leisure Centre where I selected a couple of pairs of waterproof leggings and a matching hood for my waterproof jacket.
I met up with Diana for coffee in Jerrold’s and we did a range of chores in the shops, taking back my jeans and Debbie's unwanted skiing equipment and picking some material for the bed cover in Harnser. On to The Pizza Hut where we waited for Daniel to arrive and then treated him to a meal and a chat. It was then that things started to go wrong. I was back after the three hours in the car park and had a £5 bill for my trouble. Then, once back at Horning, Sam misbehaved himself and kept jumping all over Daniel, grabbing his sleeves and jacket with his jaws and covering him with mud from the ground. He later calmed down and we all three went for a walk together but it is alarming that he keeps "biting" everyone. He does not grip hard enough to hurt and is doing it through youthful spirits and play but it must stop.
We all went to Wroxham and I bought some yachting boots at Norfolk Marine (formerly Jeckells Chandlers) whilst we investigated how much it would cost in parts to get Daniel's speedboat some proper steering; around £200 for steering and another £100 for a tonneau cover. Back to Harnser where Sam was fretting once more and a walk in the dark where he was reasonably obedient again. I was forced to urinate very often this evening and decided to start timing and measuring how much I was doing.
My first sample was cloudy and I felt poorly and I felt that I must have got a chill (probably a urinary infection) from being outside in cold weather. I had an easier evening catching up on paperwork and, in particular, read up on the procession of events over my planning permission where I shall take advice and appeal as I am in dispute with the new planning conditions. It was icy this morning and sunny later but cold again tonight but at least now the wind has subsided.
