Welcoming Diana’s family visitors to Horning after a morning walking Sam and welcoming Roger Edmonds to help with ground works.
With Daniel, Diana and her parents to see Norwich and The Harnser , enjoy morning coffee in Jarrolds, shopping in Norwich and then lunch at The Olde Tea Shoppe in Horning before afternoon tea together.
Some boat repairs and a little time helping Daniel with his, before Steve arrived and cooked plaice for dinner.
Awake rather earlier than I would have liked but then was out in good time with Sam for a nice walk. Roger Edmunds then heralded the arrival of the dumper truck operator and there then followed a succession of loads of bark chippings that I ordered as scrambled around, spreading each of them before the next one arrived! I left them spreading a couple of loads of granite chippings in front of the garage and left for Norwich as I was meeting Daniel, Diana and her parents.

She had brought them up for the day to see Norwich and The Harnser and they enjoyed morning coffee in Jarrolds, shopping in Norwich and then lunch at The Olde Tea Shoppe in Horning before finishing with afternoon tea in Ropes Hill Dyke. I picked up my faulty davit today, re-strung with new stainless-steel cable by Norfolk Marine, and also called in at Uttings and looked at .243 rifles and scopes. The afternoon spreading more chippings and then the evening performing chart corrections with the aid of the Yeoman Plotter. Steve had come up to help with the boat hydraulics and managed to buy the parts ready for installation tomorrow. He also cooked a nice tea of plaice and stayed overnight but I messed poor Daniel around a bit, keeping him waiting. He did manage to get started on installing his steering system but it will take a couple more sessions before he can get it done.
