Horning was flooding again as it got colder according to Jack and Doris, as I carried on training Sam at home and working on my financial planning.
Football sadness as all of the national football teams in the United Kingdom were knocked out of The World Cup. Daniel was still popular with his girlfriends.
It was a cold and clear night as the thermometer dropped day by day. The forecast was for even colder weather to arrive over the weekend which made me feel that I should drop into Horning before that. Telephone calls to Jack and Doris told me that the river levels had been right up again on The Broads and all of the properties that had been flooded in Horning a couple of weeks ago were under again yesterday. At least the night had passed peacefully as both Sam and Della were settled.

Two cold walks with Sam; doing a little retrieving and quartering but no water work. I had to be rather strict with him again as he was back to his nibbling ways and had to be put in his place. Updated my income summary for the recent financial transactions and dwelt on the question of whether I should push on and try to buy another investment house for the children's trusts but I decided to leave this question until the new year. Unfortunately, the repossession bargains are being snapped up by Business Expansion Schemes right now and this will continue until December 31st after which tax-payers will not be allowed this tax-avoidance trick.
Della was at home again today, still recovering from her throat infection but at least Diana and I could take turns looking after her. Disappointment this evening as all the national football teams in the United Kingdom were knocked out of The World Cup. Wales came close but the England performance was short by several points. Even so, the manager Graham Taylor still does not resign and will only say that he will be having discussions with the authorities! Daniel hears from one of his girl friends by letter today and then goes to visit another one. His visit was to Norwich where he was probably skating with Dawn. I heard from Jim this afternoon and made tentative plans to see him for a joint training session over the weekend.
