After the school and dog run on a cold, windy and showery day, a trip with Diana to Cambridge to see her parents for coffee and then out with Diana again to the Show-case Cinema in Peterborough to see a sleazy Sharon Tate film called "Sliver".

Another cold, windy and showery day that was unpleasant to be out in. Up as usual to exercise the dog and see the girls off to school and still Sam does not come back from the company of other dogs despite being a year old! A rush back to the chores in the absence of the gardener (and to find that the swimming pool algae was being most stubborn) and then to get ready to accompany Diana to Cambridge for a shopping trip and to see her parents for coffee. They were well and planning their trip next week to their Spanish villa for a fortnight.

Some children's trust in payments and a game license at the post office before joining Diana at Robert Sayle for a look round. I always find this shop of interest and full of honest British-made goods. We tried a vegetarian cafe for lunch and then drove back in the cold rain again. Diana had to run off to collect the girls from school and I did a little work on the swimming pool before taking Sam out for his other run. After tea, I took Diana out again; this time to the Show-case Cinema in Peterborough to see a sleazy Sharon Tate film called "Sliver" which was a poor film but amiable enough entertainment.
Home in time for my journal and to bed. Now Israel are making their peace terms with Jordan and have agreed an agenda accordingly. A clutch of amazing athletics records set by Chinese women athletes at their national games trigger suspicions of drug abuse. More rain and wind forecast for the rest of the week.
