We ended up with plenty of time and could have coffee in the restaurant before I had to waive her off on Platform 1 at the start of her journey to Liverpool Street, London.
Out with Sam and then sat down and made all sorts of arrangements. I was to take my car over to Wymondham to have the aerial replaced with an automatic version and was delighted to find that Jim Bird was at home at the time.
Julie made me a sandwich lunch and then I helped Jim pick up tree roots from his ploughed garden with the idea of releasing some of his time to do some dog training later. Unfortunately, the presence of his daughter and lack of time and a suitable nearby open space prevented this.
At least I had company whilst my aerial was done. I was going to go back again to shoot rabbits after dark with him but we were both tired and then it started to pour with rain so that I just rested and did chores and housework instead. An earlier night than of late, hoping to get some rest in the morning.
