A fine meal of Roast Chicken with all the trimmings

The journey home transporting things for Wiggly and dropping her off to host Michael before arriving home whilst Diana finished off a fine roast lunch of chicken and all the trimmings.

Another early start to get out with Sam and then loaded and packed ready to journey home. We were reluctant to get out of bed but Wiggly had her pantomime wardrobe fitting and I my family lunch.

We worked well together getting ready to leave and then stopped off at Jim's to pick up the boat and trailer.

Inside the boat were packed the cuddly chair and other things that she wanted, and we were pleased to drive back before the rain started so that its contents would not get wet.

The trailer unloaded at Wiggly's house and then home with the boat in tow. The rain held off just long enough for me to arrive and I could put the special cover back on before it came down in earnest.

A welcome from Diana, Daniel and the girls before I took time to unload and unpack whilst Diana finished off a fine roast lunch of chicken and all the trimmings. Della had been unwell and then had to go for another rehearsal of her play in the afternoon.

Debbie had been to a party the night before and Daniel, who had collected her afterwards, told of his disapproval at several of the youngsters being drunk and even unconscious with drink when he arrived.

I took Sam out for a walk during a lull in the rain and then watched a little TV alone and with the family before spending the rest of the evening updating this last week's journal.

A call this afternoon to Wiggly who was enjoying my chair but sounding philosophical when she should have been getting on with her chores.

I called again later in the evening expecting her to be settling down for the night, but I must confess to being embarrassed and unsettled by her taking some time to answer and then revealing that she "had Michael round".

Even so, I have no cause for complaint as I have no right to monopolise her, and I even encourage her friendships. I was just concerned that she was not catching up with her chores and having an early night, but I guess that she was proudly showing of her new chair and carpet etc.
