More Forestry Meetings to discuss management issues and upset about the poor supervision of the Christmas Tree cutting before better news of the predicted financial outcome.
The journey to Edinburgh and an evening of food and music at Fat Sam's.
I was very much the worse for drink and had a terrible night and following morning
Once we got up for breakfast, we decided upon going our separate ways for the morning with Wiggly doing some shopping in Inverness whilst I had my meeting with Mike Butler of Fountain Forestry.

Once there, Mike and I first compared notes about the economics and finances of forestry now that the old tax relief system has ended and then discussed management issues when I gave him a hard time over the poor supervision of the Christmas Tree cutting.
The better news was of his estimate that the eventual return for clear felling the plantation in 35 years time would be some £5000-6000 per hectare or more than a million pounds in total which made the whole process look more attractive than it did.
I finished my meeting and was on time to collect Wiggly from the McDonalds at the first of our rendezvous times. We embarked on the journey south to Edinburgh, intending to get there early with time for a visit to the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre but I also needed to find a hotel which was convenient for exercising Sam as well.
This took some time and when I kept passing the same places, Wiggly lost her temper with me. I also felt it necessary to chat up the eventual hotelier in view of our circumstances who was training a young dog and this only served to upset her further.
A rest and then an evening of food and music at Fat Sam's. We were due to go to see a play at The Stepping Stones Theatre but it was far too seedy and disorganised when we went to look at it.
We enjoyed the evening and really appreciated the group, "The King of The Wild Frontier", and encouraged their young base and keyboard players with our applause. We were not back too late either, but I was very much the worse for drink and had a terrible night and following morning.
The ceiling and walls swam and I missed a lot of sleep
