I worked outside with Sam on some training

The day recovering from yesterday with Nigel and my six-month anniversary with Wiggly arriving at The Hayling View in time for lunch of roast lamb and vegetables which I enjoyed and then worked in my office and outside with Sam on some training.

Awake at 7.30am and then up and ready to be able to travel and return home for Sunday lunch with the family, whilst Wiggly still had her last matinee performance in the afternoon.

I made the morning tea and took it up and we opened our cards and presents together and Wiggly, tired though she was, bless her, got up for breakfast and then came for a long walk along the flooded river valley with Sam and I.

Together over to Hail Weston where we collected her car and popped in to say thanks to Nigel and the boys for his hospitality and clearing up. Though Nigel frustrates me sometimes he is a sport.

The journey home arriving at The Hayling View in time for lunch of roast lamb and vegetables which I enjoyed. Daniel was home an hour late for the meal and regretted it as it was all eaten.

Di had been having trouble with the girls with Debbie ill and wanting attention and Della difficult as usual, but I helped cheer them up a bit.

I called Jim to discuss my experiences at the shoot with Sam yesterday and whether to go ahead with my Novice Field Trial at Brocket Park on Wednesday. He thinks I should go but I was fearful of his handling of game and think he will be eliminated with hard mouth.

If I am free on Wednesday night, Jim will come to see Norwich City with me. I was tired in the afternoon and tempted to just collapse in front of the TV and watch the live football match, but I worked in my office and outside with Sam on some training.

The water was up and flooding the riverside gardens and so I could give him some retrieves on real birds from the shoot and try to avoid him going wrong. He did quite well which makes me think that I may go to the Novice Trial after all.

I called Wiggly in the early evening to see how her last performance went and how she was. My call woke her up from a deep sleep in the bath where she had been for half an hour! I took a bath myself later and washed my hair even though the cuts on my hands from the last two days made it a painful experience.
