Debbie’s news thereafter from her event was good

Despite retiring late last night on a hot and clammy night I slept well and was up in good time, with Debbie, to take it to the riding school to prepare Sundance for her event. She left with Fiona and Alex as I did some chores changed and set off for my Council meeting where I had a hectic and involved contribution. News of a food poisoning outbreak causing fatal casualties, violent monsoon storms in India and the UK rail workers and dock strikes reaching fever pitch. I also had lunch at the bakery before getting home to have a shower and change before my Council meeting. I took the Rolls-Royce and use the air conditioning to keep cool. I arrived exactly on time for the Council meeting and had a hectic and involved contribution to make throughout three hours of discussion. This evening, I collected Debbie, who had experienced a good day at ‘Mini Camp’, even though she had taken a fall from the first time on Sundance (her fifth fall ever). She was good in getting her bath over with in and absence of Diana and herself ready for bed and was no trouble. The news tonight is of a food poisoning outbreak that has led to 2 or 3 people dying and many others seriously ill. There is been a violent monsoon storm in India. In the UK, the strikes are reaching fever pitch with the rail workers drifting back to work on the same thing happening in the docks. In both cases, the employer is of use threats of the sack and redundancy and temperatures are rising.
