After attending the birds and fish, laying a Christmas Wreath for Dad on his grave at 11am, re-erecting the Bishop’s Christmas Tree and then welcoming two boys who wanted to admire the carp in my conservatory pond.
A very relaxing day as I was slow up and then attended to the birds and fish. Di went early for her last-minute Christmas Shopping. Later in the morning, I loaded up the Range Rover and Diana joined me for a drive up to the cemetery to lay the Christmas Wreath on Dad's grave. It was a wild and windy day but it was nice laying the wreath and doing so at 11.00am, the time we had told Mum and Freda so that their thoughts would be with him as well. We also took some photographs for good measure.

Returning home, I noticed that the Christmas Tree outside the Bishop family's house had fallen over again and so I enlisted neighbour John Law's help to stand it up again! This time, he put some bags of peat on the legs of the stand. The lazy day continued with me just watching the TV with the family and this lasted through the afternoon and into the evening. A couple of boys rang the bell then and asked politely if they could see my Koi carp in the conservatory pool and I let them. It makes me remember the time that I was a boy in Hawkwell and used to ask to see another man's fish. Some things do not change.
