There was a little frost today as the glass started rising again and the doves were very hungry, Although the day was cold, the sun was shining, and I had quite a pleasant walk around the riverside garden after which Mr Gwynn Drake came round and met us to agree terms for the purchase of Debbie's horse, Sundance. At noon, Diana’s family visited for some festive drinks and a meal.
We were a little livelier this morning as we had some things planned for the day. I still had to do my normal chores. Though the day was cold, the sun was shining, and I had quite a pleasant walk around the riverside garden. Coffee and then I decided to clear up the lounge. By moving the micro-computers to the playroom, and then clearing enough space to put down the rug, I could light the fire.

Our first visitor was Mr Gwynn Drake who came round and met us to agree terms for the purchase of Debbie's horse, Sundance. Then, at noon, we were ready to welcome Di's parents and sister for some pre-lunch drinks. Charles had a pint of best bitter, Di and her Mum some wine, and Sue a couple of glasses of sweet sherry. Di then served some tomato soup and then a meal of traditional sausages and three vegetables. The rest of the day was spent relaxing again with the girls and the TV. Later I made some notes for my journal but was not wanting to venture into my office this week to type them in.
