After a late start to the day, and taking Debbie to the bus stop, I took advantage of Di staying at Hinchingbrooke, and this left me the chance to get on with some important correspondence. Di returned later after Della’s care had been taken after by the Holly Ward play leader.
I then stayed with Della all afternoon into the evening hoping for the X-Ray result as I also caught up with HDC papers and then chaired a LibDem HDC group meeting at Sally Guinee’s house before getting back to see Della at bedtime to relieve Di.
I had a lay in this morning and then regretted it as I had to get ready quickly in time to take Debbie to the bus stop. Then Di was at Hinchingbrooke and so this left me the chance to get on with some important correspondence and I ended up with a heap of envelopes for posting. Some telephone calls to follow and I resolved the following matters: Arrangements for the trip to Scotland with Nigel; registration transfer for the Reliant van; and several other matters. This took most of the morning by which time Diana returned having left Della in the care of the play leader of the children's ward.

I went over to there in time to take over from her and heard how active Della had been in the playroom all morning. She had completed two paintings and a stripy cat mobile! I stayed all afternoon and, during this time, tried to find out what was due to happen about Della's X-Ray. Eventually I ascertained that it would be probably done in the morning and then she would be assessed after that. I stayed on until 6.00pm by which time I had finished reading the HDC Full Council Meeting papers ready for this evening's HDC LibDem Group Meeting. There was just time for a short rest before I washed and shaved and set off for this meeting at Sally Guinee's house. We had a brisk but productive meeting which ended after 9.00pm, allowing me to get to hospital to relieve Diana by 9.30pm. Time to update my journal and then settle Della down in time for a 10.00pm bedtime.
