The whole day working on a range of administrative tasks, this time just stopping for a fine Sunday lunch of roast beef and some football on the television before my favourite Antiques Roadshow. It is a sign of how fast time flies now that this programme comes round so often. By the end of another late evening, I had cleared all of my paperwork, got my filing up to date, and written off for all manner of information and prices for my season's boating plans. Also writing to my family and all else as I plan to keep the next fortnight free. I had cause to anticipate tomorrow's operation and cannot say I am looking forward to having a general anaesthetic and then the pain of the recovery, but it has to be done. The day cold and dull I think, but the gale forecasts signify that we should expect an acute change of weather with wind and rain to come.
