After a lay in on another rainy day, welcoming the family for a visit to me and taking them to Norwich for a shopping trip to buy Della a large set of colouring pencils for her to develop her art skills and Debbie a tennis racquet.
They spent more time in the library, before lunch in Oliver’s and home to see Mr and Mrs Trevor Grey next door to discuss their concerns re the height of my new building. We went onto the Paxton Princess for the night and to bed quite early

Thinking to do so again until 7.30am, I closed my eyes and, when I opened them again, it was 9.00am! Then it was a mad rush to get ready before Diana and the girls arrived to stay. Bathed, breakfasted and then, whilst I was doing the washing up, they arrived. We spent the morning and some of the afternoon in the Norwich rain - the girls at the library - and Diana and I shopping.

I managed to buy a pair of large work boots and then bought Della a large set of colouring pencils for her to develop her art skills. Debbie got a tennis racquet. Lunch at Olivers and then back to Heronshaw for tea and the evening where we watched TV as the rain continued to fall. I called on Mr and Mrs Trevor Grey next door to discuss my building work and overcome their concerns re the height of my new building and they were very friendly. Diana watched Casualty, a hospital programme, on TV. We went onto the Paxton Princess for the night and to bed quite early.
