Entertaining guests for Debbie's Party and typing up replies to my NNDC council Building Control queries and so very late to bed, but still the peacock was calling, hoping against hope one day to find a mate.
Debbie had invited a number of friends around to stay with her overnight and they gathered after the morning's school and came home with her on the bus. I had spent much of this morning working on the swimming pool and conservatory as well as the normal chores so as to be ready for the influx.

Then off out with all of the young ladies to the Bridge Restaurant in St Neots where I bought them all a Beefeater lunch before bringing them back. They played games and went swimming in the pool and, later, had a birthday tea and much more swimming besides. There were a couple of new girls visiting including Zoe Bee from Eaton Ford, a nice small blonde girl who was very helpful in getting them to clear up afterwards.
All this meant that I could not spend all of the day working on the boat-shed plans, but I stayed up late and, by the early hours, had typed up the list of replies to the NNDC council queries, which task included specifying all of the design aspects of structure, fire and drainage which then had to be reflected in the new design drawings that I would start in the morning. So very late to bed, but still the peacock was calling, hoping against hope one day to find a mate.
