Collecting Freda from Redgrave on a mild but rainy day and visiting Mum in Stanton on the third anniversary of Dad's death The girls played them at several card and other games such as Patience, Scrabble and Guess Who? so that the time went very quickly.
It was the third anniversary of Dad's death today and we had called Mum and got her to call Freda with the offer of getting them over to visit Dad's grave. However, they felt unable or unwilling to travel and so we decided to go over and visit Mum with the family and then get Freda from Redgrave as well. I was up very early and out to the shed hoping to shoot another pigeon, but it soon started raining again and there was very few flying about. Then the anglers filed along the bank and started fishing opposite and so I could not do any more shooting.

It started cold today but got milder later as Debbie came home from school with very good exam results. Then to Little Paxton Village Hall November Fayre in the rain with a good turnout and much produce sold to raise funds. I let Diana take the girls shopping in St Neots whilst I watched The Wallabies beat Wales at Rugby Union.
It started cold today but got milder as the day went on. I lay in a long time after our late night and then started the day gingerly, being both tired and having a bit of a hangover. I did not achieve a great deal this morning as a result though I did start clearing out the gutters but had to give up when the rain started. I also managed to stalk and shoot one collared dove stealing seed from the bird-table. Once Debbie had come home from school, we took her and Della to The Happy Eater for lunch. Debbie had the good news that she was third in her Physics exam and this after being first in English Literature and third in English Language. She is doing well at school.

Returning home after the morning filling some more cracks with the "Pollyfilla" with Jack visiting on his motor bike. Time at home preparing Diana with her new lingerie, spending the evening with Nigel and Lyne and then spending some time with Di in her new clothes as we both had fun before going to sleep
Another lay in this morning; not waking up until nearly 8.00am on a further chilly morning! Then another hour or so getting ready until I was able to start work. The morning filling some more cracks with the "Pollyfilla" which was quite a bind as I was really ready to make for home. I broke up the work with a shooting session when I shot two sea-gulls and a coot; each with a single shot now that I have the air-gun cylinder replaced and the sights adjusted. A long chat with Arthur Edmunds and Doris Vincent about the road which is now well under control even if Doris is still not happy.

Most of the day decorating Harnser, planning lingerie for Diana and getting to the bottom of what was quoted and agreed for the road maintenance. The evening prospecting for geese to shoot.
I had not got to bed until around 1.30am this morning and was not surprised to find that it was nearly 9.00am before I had woken up this morning. Very cold weather again after a clear night and so it was a struggle to get up, dressed and ready to do more. The fence being now down made the site look a bit scruffy and so I decided that the time was overdue for me to take the trailer and empty it at the civic tip. The journey was fine, and I stopped off in Wroxham on the way back for a kneeling stool, some more paint and a restful meal at the cheap restaurant where I got a meal for less than five pounds.
